Using Digital Education Technology in Education

Surprisingly: more than sixty percent of our first-grade students will one day work on jobs that are not even built today.

We can’t even imagine what kind of work it could be, but one thing is certain: it will work with technology. That is why every child needs to learn to use technology.

It is important to note at the same time that this great emphasis on the use of technology does not mean that teachers will be reduced, in stark contrast. The technology is here to be used as a tool by teachers and to empower them to deliver lessons in a way that the old analog school, which has stood still a century ago, would not know at present. Teachers are very important as the most powerful facilitators present to get children to learn, whether using modern technology or not.

Examples of using educational technology in practice include, for example, integrating rich media and online resources as a way to access information. Even games can be used as educational technologies, especially flexible software that is designed to be highly interactive. Classroom assessment tools can enable teachers to quickly identify gaps in their students’ knowledge and adjust their teaching accordingly. Data analysis tools and management tools can provide valuable feedback that assists teachers and school leaders in managing better information.

Some studies have found that when technology is involved in learning, students are more active in acquiring knowledge. As technology in the classroom offers specialized learning, struggling students are more likely to meet their peers when they can use educational technology.

Yes, it is impossible to talk about educational technology without mentioning at least e-learning and the great revolution of MOOC (open online courses). They give students around the world an unprecedented access to the best schools and best teachers available today. At present, MOOCs are used only in higher education, but in the not too distant future they may be used from kindergarten!
