Fans of Pacman on Nintendo consoles can celebrate the Pacman 30th anniversary with the release of Pacman Party! on Nintendo Switch on November 8, 2018. The re-imagined and revamped Pac-Man Party!, a follow-up of the most successful and critically acclaimed mobile game, Pac-Man Party, is now available in Japan on the Nintendo eShop.
Pac-Man Party! on Nintendo Switch features an upgraded look, both visually and in terms of gameplay. Featuring new power-ups that can be applied to the ghost before play and new mini games, Pac-Man Party! brings fans of the original classic Pac-Man game together with new content in an enhanced game.
There is also a brand new 20-round campaign mode that is played locally between up to four people, and several new mini-games including the “Polar Mania” game which features hunting for a Polar bear who has been kidnapped by a Japanese band of thieves.
Players can call for help by summoning their hooligan group of evil that have taken over the city. Pac-Man Party! features “Operation: Gourd Harvest” where players use their own powers in an attempt to tackle hundreds of puzzles to reach the end of the level.
Other minigames include “Finger Minigame,” “Freezer Dance,” “Sushi Go,” “Ping Pong Paddle,” and “Frozen Gourd Surprise.”
On the Nintendo Switch, the game supports HD rumble technology which gives players the ability to feel even the smallest vibrations in the device. The game also features HD live streaming, allowing for updates in real-time and displaying the added attraction of online play.
Pac-Man Party! joins the already-released Pac-Man Party for Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo Switch is compatible with all the features included in the previous versions, including free fast download, shortening the play-time of the game.
“Pac-Man Party!” debuted in 2012 on the iOS and Google Play stores, where it received massive popularity. It received a nomination for “Mobile Game of the Year” and “Outstanding Achievement in Gaming” at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards, and has been the top-rated app on the App Store in France for 2013. The mobile game has sold in over 50 million downloads, and was the top-grossing game on the iTunes Store in 2013.
