Coffee and Mom’s Apple Cake Recipe

Coffee is not only good on its own, it also goes with everything, including desserts. Coffee goes with many things, such as cookies (great for dipping), coffee cakes, chocolate (a classic taste), and pies.

Everyone has a favorite cake recipe. Of course, there are all kinds of pies – lemon meringue, peach, cherry, pecan, pumpkin, etc. Every fruit seems to have been used at one time or another as an ingredient for a cake. But this is my favorite cake, apple cake. And no one makes it better than my mom. For anyone who hasn’t had a chance to try this sweet, cinnamon-scented treat, the recipe is attached. This cake isn’t that hard to make, and once you do, I’m sure it will be one of your favorites.

Make this cake and eat lots of it with your next cup of coffee. Preferably with a special coffee mug that suits your tastes. A special mug or cup that reflects your life will make enjoying the coffee and cake even more enjoyable. We hope you enjoy this cake.

Mom’s Apple Pie

Cake.

2 ½ cups flour

2 tablespoons white sugar

5 tablespoons cold water (approximately)

2/3 cup baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 one-pound bag of hard apples (Biscuit, Granny Smith, etc.)

2 tablespoons + 2 tablespoons cinnamon

2 tablespoons l + 3 tablespoons white sugar

2 tablespoons of cornstarch

powdered egg … 1 beaten egg + a small amount of water.

Sugar to sprinkle on the surface.

Preheat the oven to 450 F.

Measure dough ingredients, except water, into a food processor. Pulse several times until the dough is the size of a pea. Add a generous amount of cold water so that the dough forms a ball (too much water will make the dough stiff). Divide the dough into thirds, using two-thirds for the bottom crust and one-third for the top crust. Spread two-thirds of the dough on a lightly floured surface and line the cake pan with the dough. Sprinkle the bottom of the cake with 2 tablespoons of cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Peel the apples, slice them and place them on the bottom of the cake. Sprinkle the apples with cornstarch, then add 2 tablespoons of cinnamon and 3 tablespoons of white sugar. Roll out the dough for the top crust and place it on top of the pie crust.

Fold the edges together to close them. Brush the top crust with egg white and sprinkle with a little white sugar. With a sharp knife, poke ventilation holes in the top of the crust.

Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Coffee and apple pie go very well together, especially if served in a unique mug made for you.
